EMILY KAPLAN, PRODUCER

Prior to starting Hey Moon Films, Emily worked as an executive for Peter Berg’s production company, Film 44, after heading the film and television division for commercial powerhouse Smuggler.  She began her career at the Weinstein Company. 

Emily's film credits include Lionsgate’s Deepwater Horizon, Tribeca Films’ Greetings from Tim Buckley as well as projects in development including adaptations of French thriller Rapt with Susanne Bier, historical drama Becket with William Monohan and Booker Prize winner The White Tiger with Todd Field.  On Broadway, Emily has been involved in a handful of projects including Tony winner Once.  She graduated from Harvard with a BA in English and American Literature and has a giant Golden Retriever named Maestro.
